Anika L. Hines, PhD, MPH
Principal Investigator
Assistant Professor of Health Behavior and Policy
Dr. Hines is an Assistant Professor of Health Behavior and Policy at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Her research focuses on the effects of chronic stress on cardiovascular risk factors and outcomes. Her work aims to address multi-level stressors and reduce disparities using an interdisciplinary approach.
Her current research portfolio includes studies centered on creating strategies to mitigate cardiovascular risk among young Black women. Dr Hines' work is supported by the NIH and the American Heart Association.
In her free time, Dr. Hines enjoys painting, sewing, riding her bike on the Capital trail and spending time with family and friends.
Fota Sall, MPH
Clinical Research Coordinator
Fota is the Clinical Research Coordinator for the EqCHO Lab. Fota's research interests are centered around maternal and child health. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts and trying new restaurants around town.
